Inter have delayed the payment of the first instalment of the transfer fee due to Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi according to a report from Spanish digital newspaper El Confidencial.

Inter were due to pay Real Madrid €13 million but the Nerazzurri club have not paid Los Blancos. Despite Inter not paying, the Spanish club have been understanding about the whole situation.

Inter explained to Real Madrid that the delay is due only to the difficult contingencies of the pandemic period, which has impacted the finances of practically every club on the planet.

The relations between both clubs remain good and relaxed and the report goes on to conclude that Real Madrid will receive the money soon and they will use that money to pay salaries owed to their players.

Since joining Inter on a five year contract in the Summer transfer window, Hakimi has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and tallied four assists.
