Antonio Candreva could potentially return to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Italian joined Sampdoria on a season long loan with an obligation to buy attached, an obligation that will come into effect upon Sampdoria picking up their first point from February 1 onward.

Candreva has had a fall out with Sampdoria manager Claudio Ranieri and has found himself having to train separately from his teammates and also not involved in matches. He will also not be in the squad for Sampdoria’s clash with Crotone this weekend.

The report states that if the situation cannot be resolved and due to the aforementioned situation with the obligation, it cannot be excluded that Sampdoria and the player could go their separate ways.

Since joining La Samp, the 33-year-old former Lazio player has made 10 appearance across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied three assists,
