Stefan de Vrij has agreed to a contract extension with Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Dutchman is already under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season but as per this report he has agreed to a two year contract extension which will tie him to the Nerazzurri club until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

As part of the new deal, the former Lazio defender will receive an annual salary of €3.5 million plus add-ons. The official announcement still needs to be made but de Vrij has committed himself long term to the Inter cause.

The 28-year-old arrived at Inter on a free transfer in the Summer of 2018 after his contract with Lazio expired at the end of the 2017/18 season. He has since made 98 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored six goals and provided just as many assists for teammates.
