Roma, Inter and AC Milan are all incredibly keen to sign Atalanta talisman Papu Gomez in January, but his cost may delay a move until the summer window, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentine forward is set to leave the Bergamo based club after six years, having suffered a complete relationship breakdown with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Atalanta have denied Gomez the possibility of leaving the club on a free transfer, and with his current contract expiring in 2022, interested clubs will have to pay for his services, the report continues.

The Rossoneri, Giallorossi and Nerazzurri are all keen to sign Gomez, but a January move may be impossible considering his cost and the ongoing financial situation surrounding all Italian clubs, still suffering due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A truce could be reached between Gasperini and Gomez until the end of the season, delaying his move for six months.
