Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic has revealed what Christmas means to him and his fellow Croatians, with Christmas one week away from today.

“What does Christmas mean to me? It means spending quality time with my family. Because we are rarely at home during the year, we use this time to spend with the family,” he explained as part of the latest episode of Inter YouTube series, Inter Life.

“It is an important time I think. On the 25th we all go to church. We pray together. There are many Catholics in Croatia. I think it’s the best time of the year. I am always with the family.”

Perisic joined Inter from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in the Summer of 2015 in a circa €15 million deal and he has since went on to make 180 appearances across all competitions to date for the club, in which he has scored 42 goals and tallied 38 assists.

The Croatian national team winger, who has been converted to a wing-back this season by Antonio Conte, has been heavily linked with a potential departure from the club in the upcoming January transfer window with many reports having stated that he has not convinced Conte with his performances and that Conte’s patience with him has run out.

This season the 31-year-old has made 17 appearances, during which he has managed to score two goals and provide three assists.
