Romelu Lukaku is the first Inter player in almost 20 years to have scored a goal in each of his fist five home games of a Serie A campaign, Inter have highlighted with a post on photo sharing social media platform Instagram.

The Belgian national team player has been in sublime form this season with him having netted 14 goals in 16 appearances which has taken his tally for the club to 48 goals in 67 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has also tallied eight assists.

The last player to do what Lukaku has done this term was Christian Vieri back in the 2002/03 season.

He posted: “Did you know? Romelu Lukaku is the first player to score in each of his first five home appearances of a Serie A season with Inter since Christian Vieri, in 2002/03.”
