Atalanta want at least €10-15 million for Inter target Papu Gomez and will not let him leave on a free transfer next month, according to a report from Rome based newspaper la Repubblica earlier today.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Bergamo based club until 2022, has suffered a complete relationship breakdown with coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and asked to leave on a free transfer in January in order to resolve the issue.

Atalanta will not grant this request and want around €10-15 million for his signature. Giving him away for free is not an option for the Bergamaschi, the report continues.

There are many clubs hot on Gomez’s heels, including Inter, AC Milan, Napoli and Roma.

The idea of moving to a Milan based club is an attractive one to Papu Gomez and his wife Linda Raff, as they’ve chosen to stay in Bergamo and do not want to uproot their life.
