Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen took part in extra exercises earlier today after the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Spezia, as noted by Italian journalist Franco Vanni in a post on his Twitter page today.

The 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, did not appear in the win against the newly promoted Ligurian side, and took part in long ball exercises after the game, alongside the other players who did not take part.

Eriksen returned to the dressing room more than half an hour after the final whistle, showing a strong work ethic as he looks to strengthen his game.

The 28-year-old Dane seems destined to leave Inter in the upcoming January transfer window, after failing to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and not convincing the 51-year-old Italian with his performances.

The former Spurs man has made 12 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 373 minutes.

Vanni posted a photo with the caption:

“The last to leave the pitch was Christian Eriksen. After fitness work with those teammates who, like him, had not set foot on the pitch, he practiced his long balls.

“He returned to the dressing room at 17:22, more than half an hour after the end of the match.”
