Atalanta plan to meet with Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Riso, the agent of Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez, by the end of the year to define a strategy for the Argentine to leave the club next month according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

An irreparable tear has formed between Gomez and the locker room and the 32-year-old would like to be let go on a free transfer as a reward for his loyalty to Atalanta through the years but Atalanta will not let this happen and Atalanta president Antonio Percassi wants €10 million for him.

Inter are one of a number of clubs to have been linked with signing Gomez but as per this report, Inter are in the same position as they were in the Summer transfer window in that they have to sell before they buy.

Should Inter manage to sell Christian Eriksen, Ivan Perisic and Andrea Pinamonti, it cannot be excluded that they would go in for Gomez.
