Inter are keen on making a move to sign Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Sports Illustrated.

The Brazilian born naturalised Italian has struggled for game time this season and has found himself on the fringes of the Chelsea squad and is likely to leave the Premier League club next month.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is keen for Inter management to pursue a move for the former Roma player to replace the potentially outgoing Ivan Perisic, who is seen as surplus to requirements at the Nerazzurri.

The report goes on to explain that Chelsea have no interest in letting Emerson Palmieri go on anything other than a permanent basis.

This season the former Palermo player, who is contracted to the Blues until the end of next season, has made just seven appearances across all competitions to date but he has made zero goal contributions.
