Inter are in talks with Atalanta attacker Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez’s agent over a potential move to the club according to a report from Italian football journalist Pasquale Guarro.
In addition to being in touch with Gomez’s agent, Guarro also claims that Inter are in touch with Atalanta over the 32-year-old Argentine.
As things currently stand, Inter have no intention of getting involved in the tense relationship between Gomez and Atalanta, which some recent reports have implied is destined to come to an end next month.
Guarro goes on to add that Inter are waiting to find out what price Atalanta president Antonio Percassi will place on the head of Gomez.
Guarro took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “Inter have started talks with the player’s agent and with Atalanta. There is no desire to enter the tense relationship between the player and the club. In Milan they are waiting for Percassi to name the price.”
This season Gomez, who is under contract with Atalanta until the end of next season, has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied four assists.
