Radja Nainggolan will be among the first players to bid farewell to Inter in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nainggolan was not included in the Inter squad for yesterday’s 2-1 Serie A win at home to Spezia and has ultimately been rejected by Inter manager Antonio Conte.

The Belgian central midfielder has been limited to just five appearances across all competitions to date, all of which have come as a substitute. He has failed to score or provide any assists in his 45 minutes on the field to date.

Prior to yesterday’s match, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio made Inter’s stance regarding Nainggolan clear, admitting that if they can, they will satisfy Nainggolan’s demands but stressed that the club will not just give anyone away.

Nainggolan, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Roma, wants a return to Cagliari, where he spent last season on loan, according to various reports in the media.
