Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli discussed the Partenopei’s plans in the transfer market and the status of Inter linked Arkadiusz Milik in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia yesterday.

“The transfer window is a question mark. Milik? Everyone wants a striker, we’ll see. I think he wants to go away and play to guarantee his spot in the European Championship.

“In January I hope for a couple of players to leave and that’s it, no signings, we’re very complete. Milik and Llorente are likely to leave.”

The 26-year-old Milik, whose contract expires with the Partenopei at the end of the season, has not made a single appearance this campaign for the Naples based club.

He was linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham in the summer transfer window but a deal never materialised.

Inter are looking for a new striker in the upcoming January transfer window, with coach Antonio Conte not fully happy with Italian youngster Andrea Pinamonti.

Last season, Milik made 35 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, for a total of 2109 minutes. In that time, he scored 14 goals.

Inter are currently second in the Serie A table after 13 games, sitting on 30 points, one behind rivals and league leaders AC Milan.

Their next game is against Ivan Juric’s Hellas Verona on Wednesday this week.
