The match official assignments for the final round of Serie A action in 2020 have been announced a short time ago, with Piero Giacomelli assigned to referee Hellas Verona versus Inter.

The 43-year-old, who has been a referee in Serie A since 2011, has refereed five matches across all competitions to date, none of which have involved either side who will compete against one another at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on Wednesday evening.

In the matches he has refereed thus far this season, he has dished out 26 yellow cards and a single red card.

He will be assisted by Stefano Liberti and Mauro Galetto whilst Antonio Di Martino will be the fourth official for the match in Verona. Gianpaolo Calvarese will be in charge of VAR and he will have Luca Mondin alongside to assist him.

Hellas Verona head into this match sitting in ninth place in the Serie A table and they will be hosting an Inter side sitting in second place, just one point off of top spot.
