Stefano Sensi is slowly but surely regaining his place in this Inter team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
It has been a long last 14 months for the Italian national team central midfielder who has picked up injury after injury and really struggled to remain fit.
He is now back in action though and Inter have benefitted from his return. Inter manager Antonio Conte is however continuing to carefully manage Sensi to avoid any new muscle injuries and this is why he has played Sensi is small doses in recent matches but Conte is pondering whether to start him tomorrow night away to Hellas Verona.
Sensi is not in top form as of yet but he is getting closer and closer to being at the level he was at the start of last season. Sensi’s return is good news for Conte, who will lose the quality of Christian Eriksen in January.
The report goes on to add that Sensi no longer trains with fear and trains with much less hesitation and he hopes to be at his best following the short break from action that will follow tomorrow’s match.
