Inter and AC Milan responded yesterday to the Milan city council’s requests for additions and clarifications with regard to their new state of the art stadium project according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Milan city council are now examining everything that the two clubs presented to them yesterday, in which there was also confirmation that AC Milan are owned by American fund, Elliott Management.

The report goes on to explain that investigations are at the last steps and should end soon. Only after this will it be decided which of the two projects in the running will be carried out to replace the current San Siro stadium, which has stood for close to 100 years.

The Milan based news outlet go on to explain that the ‘Cathedral’ design put forward by Populous is currently ahead of the ‘Rings’ design put together by Manica and CMR Sportium.
