Inter manager Antonio Conte could spring a surprise with the formation he decides to start with in this evening’s Serie A match away to Hellas Verona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Throughout his 18 month tenure in charge of Inter, Conte has largely used a 3-5-2 system but did use a 3-4-1-2 system a little earlier on in the season as he attempted to try and get the best out of under performing Christian Eriksen by deploying him in his natural attacking midfield role.
In recent weeks Conte has reverted to the 3-5-2 that has served him so well throughout his career but as per this report, Conte could change the system to have a three pronged attack made up of Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Ivan Perisic.
The report from the Milan based news outlet explains that the former Italian national team boss could make such a change in order to not give Hellas Verona manager Ivan Juric any advantages.
