Christian Eriksen will not be at the disposal of Inter manager Antonio Conte for this evening’s match away to Hellas Verona according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

The reason for this is because Eriksen has decided to return home in order to assist his partner who is pregnant and expected to give birth just shortly.

The Nerazzurri club have granted permission for Eriksen, who is currently in flight, to return home and as a result he will miss out upon Inter’s final game of the calendar year at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

This season the 28-year-old Danish national team player, who joined Inter in the most recent January transfer window, has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, which totals just under 400 minutes, the former Tottenham Hotspur player has failed to score any goals or provide any assists.
