Romelu Lukaku scored more goals than anyone else in UEFA run competitions during this calendar year a report in yesterday’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport highlights.
Between the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League with Inter and the UEFA Nations League with Belgium, the former Manchester United player has scored a combined total of 16 goals in this calendar year.
He fared best in the UEFA Europa League with him scoring seven goals in this competition as Inter made it all the way to the final of last season’s edition of the competition. He scored five goals in UEFA Nations League A and grabbed four goals in this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Lukaku has certainly repaid Inter for the large scale investment they made to sign him and Inter manager Antonio Conte for the trust he has shown him with all of his goals.
This season Lukaku has 15 goals in 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has also provided two assists for his teammates.
