Real Madrid have dropped their interest in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Spanish daily newspaper El Confidencial.

The highly rated 23-year-old Argentine national team player has previously been strong linked with Los Blancos as they look to find themselves a long term replacement for the ageing Karim Benzema.

However, according to this report, Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing Lautaro from Inter and are instead planning to focus only on signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid are far from the only club to have been linked with signing Lautaro in recent months with both Barcelona and Manchester City both also having been strongly linked with trying to sign him.

Since joining Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Racing Club, Lautaro has made 103 appearances across all competitions for Inter, in which he has scored 36 goals and provided 14 assists for his teammates.
