Inter are outsiders in the race to sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi according to a report from Spanish news outlet OK Diario.

Paris Saint-Germain have overtaken Manchester City and are currently leading the race to land the Argentine national team player, whose contract with Barcelona is due to expire at the end of this season.

Inter are meanwhile sitting back in third place and do not have much in the way of an opportunity to sign him but are perhaps the club who have dreamed about signing him the longest.

Despite this, Inter will not back down so long as they have even the slightest chance of achieving a deal.

The report goes on to highlight that despite being in the running to sign him, Manchester City have some doubts about Messi, mainly his age.

The report also claims that Manchester City’s owner has told manager Pep Guardiola to choose three players to be signed or only have Messi signed.
