Noted Italian football journalist Giovanni Capuano has taken to social media platform Twitter to express his thoughts and feelings about Inter following the Nerazzurri club’s 2-1 win away to Hellas Verona earlier on this evening.

Inter were far from fantastic in the first half at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi against Ivan Juric’s side but made a quick start to the second half with Lautaro Martinez opening the scoring in the match, snapping an eight game goal drought in the process.

Ivan Ilic soon drew the hosts level as he capitalised on a terrible mistake from Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic who dropped a cross right in front of him.

Inter central defender Milan Skriniar soon restored Inter’s lead with a header and this ultimately proved to be the winning goal for Antonio Conte’s side, who have now won their last seven games on the bounce in Serie A.

Capuano posted the following: “Inter played a game of great substance, the best of their last games. They led things in the second half after a slow first half, as they did against Napoli and Spezia.

“This was the seventh consecutive victory for Conte. When the season resumes they will play Crotone at home and Sampdoria away before Roma-Inter and Inter-Juve.”
