Cagliari forward Joao Pedro briefly commented on a possible swap deal between Inter’s Radja Nainggolan and the Rossoblu’s Leonardo Pavoletti in an interview with Italian broadcaster DAZN after the Emilian side’s 3-2 loss to Roma recently.
“There’s a lot of talk about it, I haven’t heard anything because we’ve played four games in a row and there’s little time to think about anything else. Radja is someone who helped us a lot last year, we’ll see what will happen.”
The 32-year-old Nainggolan, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2022, has hardly been used by coach Antonio Conte this season, making only five appearances for a total of 45 minutes.
Last season the former Roma man was impressive for the Rossoblu, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
Inter are looking for a new fourth striker in the upcoming January transfer window, with one option being Cagliari’s Pavoletti.
The 32-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Rossoblu until 2022, has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 484 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
