New Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino will meet with sporting director Leonardo in the next few days to discuss next month’s transfer window, with one topic being Inter’s Christian Eriksen, according to a report from today’s paper edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 28-year-old Dane is destined to leave Milan next month after only one year, after failing to impress coach Antonio Conte.
The new PSG coach is tempted by the idea of being reunited with Eriksen, with the pair having an incredibly strong relationship back in North London at Tottenham.
The French giants would look to sign Eriksen on a loan deal with a buy option attached, allowing them to manage the budget well despite the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A swap deal between Eriksen and Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes could also take place.
The 28-year-old Dane has made 12 appearances so far this season, and hasn’t contributed to a goal.
