New Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino may look to be reunited with Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen in the French capital, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The report details how the former Tottenham coach could be interested in signing the 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who has struggled to make an impact in Milan after 11 months.
A possible exchange deal could take place with Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes, who would better fit the tactical requests of coach Antonio Conte.
Eriksen, who is contracted to Inter until 2024, has made 12 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 373 minutes. In that time, he has failed to impress the 51-year-old Italian coach and seems destined to leave the club soon.
Pochettino and Eriksen had a strong relationship in North London and the Dane was one of the players who were instrumental in Spurs’ run to the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season.
