Former Inter defender Daniele Adani discussed Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul whilst speaking with Christian Vieri, Nicola Ventola and Alvaro Recoba on Twitch.tv earlier today. His words were noted by FcInter1908.

“De Paul is a former trequartista who now plays across the pitch. After failing with Valencia, he adapted to the provincial reality of Udinese, now he can play in any team.

“Where he doesn’t arrive with quality, he does it with hard work. In a big team? When you play as a centre half for Argentina you can play for any club.”

The 26-year-old De Paul, who is contracted to Udinese until 2024, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1367 minutes.

In that time, he has scored three goals and provided three assists, being a key part of the Bianconeri squad.

Inter are interested in acquiring the player as coach Antonio Conte needs an important midfield reinforcement, especially with the imminent departure of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Juventus are also interested in acquiring De Paul as their other midfield targets, like Paul Pogba, may prove too difficult to sign next month.

The 26-year-old De Paul was also linked with a move to Inter last year, showing the Nerazzurri’s keen interest in the Argentinian midfielder.
