Inter are closely following Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and could even look to sign him next month, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 30-year-old Dutch midfielder’s contract expires with the Reds at the end of this season, and so he may look to leave the club next month ahead of time.

Barcelona are interested in him, as well as a few Premier League clubs, and Inter have asked for information about him.

The Nerazzurri could look to wait in order to sign him on a free transfer, although that gives time for another interested party to secure his signature, like Inter did with Christian Eriksen a year ago.

Another player who will be a free agent at the end of the season is Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

The Argentine star earns around €50 million net and with the Italian tax benefit would rise to €65 million total, incredible figures for a single player.

The Milanese club could surprise everyone, depending on if there’s a new shirt sponsor, although this seems unlikely for now.
