Inter coach Antonio Conte highlighted the impressive play of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches but a January move for the Portuguese midfielder seems unrealistic, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach greatly appreciates the qualities of the 23-year-old, who has impressed with French side Lille this season after a disappointing experience in Germany with Bayern Munich.

Conte likes Sanches because the Portuguese midfielder is a tireless player who works hard both offensively and defensively.

Considering that president Steven Zhang has made it clear that no major investments can be made next month, the idea of signing Sanches seems too unrealistic, for now.

The 23-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who is contracted to Lille until 2023, has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 704 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal.
