Inter coach Antonio Conte is hoping the club will sign Parma forward Gervinho in next month’s transfer window, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach wanted the 33-year-old Ivorian forward in the recent summer transfer window, but a deal was not reached in time.

The Nerazzurri need a fourth forward, with 21-year-old Italian Andrea Pinamonti not convincing Conte, so he will go out on loan to develop.

A possible loan exchange could take place between Pinamonti and Gervinho, although the Emilian side are in the early stages of a relegation battle and so may look for a more proven goal scorer.

Atalanta forward Papu Gomez is another idea for Inter, the report continues, but his €10 million price tag may be enough to push away the Nerazzurri, with president Steven Zhang not being interested in those figures.
