A report from today’s paper edition of the Bergamo based newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo has suggested that a possible exchange deal may be on the cards between Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan and Atalanta forward Papu Gomez.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking for a new home for the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder, who is not a part of coach Antonio Conte’s project in Milan.

The 32-year-old Gomez is also set to leave next month, after suffering a complete relationship breakdown with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

A possible exchange deal could take place between the two players, the report continues, as Atalanta have been interested in Nainggolan before and he could strengthen their midfield, which is about to be weakened by Gomez’s departure.

The main issue is a high salary of over €3 million net per season, but an agreement can still be found, with both clubs resolving an issue.
