Inter and Cagliari are ready to talk and try to find a solution that will allow Radja Nainggolan return to Cagliari on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Belgian central midfielder dreams of returning to the Sardinian club, who he spent the duration of last season on loan with and has also had a previous permanent spell with.

Cagliari would also like to bring Nainggolan back to the club and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has recently been clear in stating that the club will do their best to satisfy players who wish to leave.

The two clubs failed to come to an agreement over a permanent deal during the last transfer window but a few months have since passed meaning Nainggolan’s value has further amortised.

Cagliari youngster Riccardo Ladinetti was discussed as a potential counterpart last time out and he could also be a potential counterpart in negotiations this time round as well.

Cagliari could potentially offer Inter €8 or €9 million plus Ladinetti, who will remain on loan at Olbia until the end of the season. It is however possible that a loan with obligation to buy deal for Nainggolan could be done.

The report from the Italian news outlet goes on to explain that if Inter are to land Fluminense youngster Marcos Paulo, they could offer him to Cagliari on loan for the next 18 months free of charge as an incentive for Cagliari to meet Inter’s asking price for Nainggolan.
