In all likelihood, Matias Vecino will not leave Inter in next month’s transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team player is set to resume training with the rest of his teammates in the next few days after a long injury lay-off.

Given how difficult it will likely be to find any club willing to buy the former Fiorentina player, who joined the club back in 2017, Vecino could become an option for Inter manager Antonio Conte in the Nerazzurri midfield, which is expected to undergo a lot of change next month with Radja Nainggolan and Christian Eriksen both expected to depart.

The report goes on to highlight that Vecino, who has not played at all this season due to his injury, is physical, tall and has experience. In addition to all of this, he is also able to make an impact in matches by popping up with goals.
