Torino are really interested in signing Cagliari striker Leonardo Pavoletti according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Turin based club are in the process of trying to convince the 32-year-old forward to join them. Although he is playing regularly for Cagliari, he could leave for Torino where he would have the chance of playing alongside Andrea Belotti.

Pavoletti has also been strongly linked with a potential switch to Inter ahead of the fast approaching January transfer window, which is just days away from opening.

Inter are understood to be prioritising the acquisition of a new striker next month and Pavoletti is one of several strikers who have been linked with Inter, who have long been after a striker capable of fulfilling the role of back-up to star striker Romelu Lukaku,

This season Pavoletti has made 14 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
