Inter central midfielder Radja Nainggolan is set to complete a return to Cagliari according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

As per the report from the Milan based news outlet, the Belgian is set to return to the Rossoblu club on a dry loan deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Nainggolan spent the duration of last season on loan at the Sardinia based side, who tried to sign him permanently at the end of it but failed to do so.

Ever since his return to Inter, Nainggolan is widely reported to have been dreaming of a return to Cagliari and his dreams appear set to come true as per this report.

The injury sustained by Marko Rog which will keep him out long term convinced Cagliari president Tommaso Giuilini to move quickly to wrap up negotiations to bring Nainggolan back.

This season Nainggolan has made just five substitute appearances for Inter, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.
