World renowned Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that at today’s meeting between Inter management and coach Antonio Conte, it was decided that the club will not go mad in the fast approaching January transfer window.
Inter management and Conte met earlier on this afternoon to define a strategy for the January transfer window and Di Marzio has explained what was decided at the meeting which took place at Inter’s training ground.
“Inter wont be investing in the transfer window this January, something they have in common with many clubs in this period.
“This to ensure corporate stability that starts from a strategy of reducing the operating costs,” he explained a short time ago on air, as quoted by Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.
Di Marzio went on to explain: “Everyone’s willingness to continue together with the utmost commitment for the good of Inter and the fans was confirmed, but without going mad on the transfer market.”
Inter have been strongly linked with a whole array of players ahead of the January transfer window but multiple reports have stressed that before they buy, they will have to sell players.
A number of players have been strongly linked with departing the club, namely out of favour attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has been linked with Arsenal, West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain among others.
