Inter have already held talks with Hellas Verona regarding midfielder Mattia Zaccagni according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Zaccagni has been one of the breakout stars this season in Serie A and is unlikely to be in Verona for much longer although it is improbable that he will leave in January and more likely to leave in the Summer, by which time he will have just one year left on his deal.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta could offer Federico Dimarco and Eddie Salcedo to Hellas Verona on a permanent basis for a combined €15 million and this could ignite negotiations between the clubs that are currently frozen.

The report goes on to add that the parties will talk to one another again at the end of the season in May regarding Zaccagni, who has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates in 15 appearances across all competitions to date.
