Inter began preparations for their first game of 2021 today versus Crotone with a double training session according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Within the next two weeks Inter will play five games. In addition to taking on Crotone on January 3, they will also face Sampdoria, Roma, Fiorentina and arch rivals Juventus.

The report goes on to explain that a close eye will be kept on both Alexis Sanchez and Matias Vecino, both of whom have been out due to injury.

Inter manager Antonio Conte hopes to have Sanchez back available for the match against 19th placed Crotone in a few days time.

Uruguayan national team player Vecino is meanwhile expected to fully recover just shortly. Given no offers have arrived for him, it cannot be excluded that he could become a useful option for Conte and Inter during the second half of the 2020/21 season.
