Manchester United Left Back Alex Telles: “I Learned A Lot During My Loan Spell With Inter”

Manchester United left back Alex Telles has admitted that his loan stint with Inter a few years back was something that he learned a lot from.

The Brazilian national team player arrived at Inter on a season long loan from Turkish Super Lig powerhouses Galatasaray for the 2015/16 season.

He made 22 appearances across all competitions during his time with the Nerazzurri club, in which he was able to provide a single assist for his teammates.

“At Inter, in 2015, I was 22/23 years old. At the time I was young, but at that level not so much because players go up to the first team very early,” he explained in an interview with Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, as quoted by Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Telles, who joined Porto from Galatasaray a few weeks after his loan with Inter expired, then went on to explain what he learned and how he feels today as a player at Manchester United, who he joined in the most recent transfer window.

“I learned a lot, both defensively and tactically. I’m not saying it was a moment of experience, because I gave my all to help the club, but I learned a lot there.

“Today, I feel more complete and more experienced. Today I know I have a name, this gives me confidence in my work.”

This season the 28-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
