Inter must make a profit or at least break even in next month’s transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report explains that the current situation at Inter is not favourable and fans ambitions of winning the Scudetto are not currently reflected by club owners Suning. The report explains that Suning feel it is useless and misleading to think about the Scudetto in the present moment, if there is no possibility of making an effort in the transfer market.

If Christian Eriksen, who has been widely linked with a departure from the club, leaves for around €30 million, only part of that fee would be reinvested into a new recruit or recruits.

The report goes on to explain that likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes and Parma’s Gervinho can only arrive via swap deals whilst Papu Gomez can only arrive if he is ‘gifted’.
