Inter are not in the running to sign Hellas Verona’s Mattia Zaccagni, a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport suggests.

As per this report, Roma, Lazio and AC Milan are all in the running to sign the highly rated Italian midfielder who has starred for the Gialloblu club this term.

All three clubs have made what the reports describes as exploratory contact with Hellas Verona over Zaccagni, who has 18 months left to run on his current deal at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric would like to keep a hold of Zaccagni until the end of the season but a sale in the January transfer window that will not come into fruition until the Summer cannot be ruled out.

Hellas Verona want at least €10 million for the 25-year-old, who has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates in 15 appearances this season.
