Inter president Steven Zhang has refused to rule out there being some intervention on Inter’s part in the transfer market provided there is an opportunity which presents itself that needs to be seized according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Nobody has come forward yet for Christian Eriksen with a concrete offers. Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester United have all shown an interest but nothing more than that whilst West Ham United have made a loan enquiry but Inter are unwilling to accept this formula.

Inter have shown a keen interest in signing Parma’s Gervinho and wanted to swap Andrea Pinamonti for him but Parma seem unwilling to do this. A deal for other transfer target, Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul, meanwhile appears unachievable.

When it comes to possible opportunities, there is Liverpool’s Divock Origi but above all Atalanta’s Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez, provided that he is released from his contract with the Bergamo club or allowed to leave for very little.

Gomez’s agent is due to meet with Atalanta owner Antonio Percassi and only after this meeting will things become clearer.

The report goes on to add that it is obligatory for Inter to find a new club for Pinamonti because Inter have no plans on expanding the squad past its current size. Matias Vecino had looked set to depart but he now instead looks set to stay and play for a place in the team,
