Inter have offered Atalanta the chance to acquire either Andrea Ranocchia or Roberto Gagliardini in a loan swap deal that would see them acquire Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero.

Inter have a strong interest in signing the 32-year-old Argentine and in the past few days they have moved decisively in a bid to overcome competition they face for his signature, including competition from Lazio, who have recently taken an interest in signing him.

The report explains that Inter have offered Ranocchia or Gagliardini to the Bergamo based club for Gomez, who appears almost certain to leave in next month’s transfer window.

Multiple reports in recent days have in fact already suggested that Inter have come to an agreement with Gomez over personal terms.

This season the former Catania player has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
