Inter owned central midfielder Radja Nainggolan has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to bid farewell to 2020 and also thank Inter after he completed a loan move to Cagliari earlier on today.

The Belgian national team player was very much out of favour at Inter this season and he has been loaned to Inter’s fellow Serie A club for the remainder of the 2020/21 season on a dry loan basis.

Nainggolan joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 in a players plus cash deal from Roma but his spell with the club never really went how it was expected to.

He is contracted to the club until the end of next season although various reports in the media have suggested that Cagliari will sign him outright next Summer.

The 32-year-old was limited to just five appearances across all competitions this term at Inter, all of which came as a substitute. He made no goal contributions.

He posted: “2020 that is about to end. A season with many ups and downs at Cagliari however with some satisfaction then returning to Inter putting all of myself at the disposal of the team but unfortunately only got a few minutes even if I gave my all.

He continued: “What I like best is having fun on the pitch and I thank Inter for giving me this new chance at Cagliari.

“I hope that in 2021 I will have fun on the pitch playing football the way I like it again. I wish a big good luck to all at Inter and all my teammates from the beginning of this year and above all for all the people who have found difficulties in this 2020 (due to COVID) I wish you a wonderful 2021. Happy new year to all.”
