Inter seems to be the most likely next destination for Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere di Bergamo.

Gomez is widely expected to leave Atalanta in next month’s transfer window and Atalanta are understood to want a sum of €10 million to part ways with him.

The report from the Bergamo based news outlet does however suggest that given the excellent relations that Inter and Atalanta have with one another, a different sort of agreement could be reached between young players being involved of possible discounts being offered.

Lazio have also been linked with moving to sign the 32-year-old Argentine but the report states that a move to Lazio is more complicated.

This season Gomez, who is under contract with Atalanta through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided four assists.
