Matias Vecino is on the brink of completing a return to full training following injury according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team central midfielder has been out injured for several months due to a knee injury that required surgery but he should be back in full training alongside his Nerazzurri teammates from next week.

Given the lack of offers to have come in for Vecino, due largely in part to his injury, Inter manager Antonio Conte will make a virtue of necessity and utilise Vecino, who will be like a new signing given how long he has been out.

The report from the Milan based news outlet then goes on to add that Alexis Sanchez, who has been out injured for the past few weeks, has made a full return to training.

The Chilean national team forward could perhaps even make it onto the substitutes bench for Inter’s match at home to Crotone this coming Sunday.
