Noted Italian football journalist Maurizio Pistocchi has taken to social media platform Twitter to share his views on the best players in Serie A during the calendar year.
Pistocchi awarded AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with the best goalkeeper in Serie A in 2020 award, gave Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini the award for best coach this year and he has also named Inter youngster Alessandro Bastoni as the best young player in Serie A in 2020.
Bastoni had his Inter breakthrough during the 2019/20 season and has went from strength to strength this season with his performances even earning him his first few caps for the Italian national team.
The former Atalanta defender, who joined Inter in 2017 and is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date this term.
In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 1400 minutes, he has provided a single assist for his teammates this term.
