Inter must remain consistent between now and May if they are to end their 10-year drought without winning the Serie A title, according to Italian agent Diego Nappi.

The Nerazzurri are one point behind AC Milan at the top of the table as the league prepares to resume on Sunday with a full round of fixtures.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, Nappi praised Antonio Conte’s team for their first half of the season but warned it could still turn into a four-way scrap for the Scudetto.

“I’d say we’re still in the first phase of the season due to the unusual start to the campaign,” he said.

“You win league titles by maintaining balance and being consistent in your results across the season.

“At the moment I think AC Milan are doing very well and so are Inter, but there’s a lot of time still and so I wouldn’t be surprised if Juventus and Napoli got back into the hunt.”

Antonio Conte’s side will play Crotone at San Siro this weekend as they seek an eighth consecutive win in the league.

They will then hit the road to play Sampdoria on Wednesday before completing the week with a visit to play Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Nappi was also asked for a comment on the upcoming January transfer window but refused to be drawn on potential signings.

“The real key signing for 2021 would be returning to normality; getting back to travelling, meeting each other and working calmly,” he explained.

“I want to see all the stadiums full again and enjoy the true beauty of this sport.”
