Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has identified Polish forward Arkadiusz Milik as a top target to sign as a free agent in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in acquiring the 26-year-old Pole, who has not made a single appearance this campaign for the Partenopei after failing to reach a contract renewal with the Naples based club.

The Milanese club are keen on Milik for two reasons, with the first being that he would be a strong backup for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, and the second being that it would give the Milanese club another option should a large offer arrive for Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez.

Napoli want €18 million for Milik to leave in this month’s transfer window, and Inter are not looking to pay this, so the Pole could find a new home abroad, with Marseille reportedly interested.

Regarding an attacking reinforcement this month, it will depend on what happens to Christian Eriksen. If he is sold, then the club could look to sign Papu Gomez or Edin Dzeko, whilst if he leaves on loan then it’s easiest to sign Parma’s Gervinho in a swap deal involving Andrea Pinamonti.
