Inter coach Antonio Conte is prepared to fight for the Scudetto with the squad he has after meeting with president Steven Zhang and understanding their position regarding the transfer market, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Milanese club cannot afford to make any investments in this month’s transfer window without first selling players, and so the future of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is important for the Nerazzurri.

The 51-year-old Italian coach is not allowing this to be an excuse, and is prepared to go for war with his squad in order to win the league title this campaign.

The first set of games in 2021 will prove challenging for Inter, starting from tomorrow’s clash against a plucky Crotone, before two big matches in Serie A against Roma away and against Juventus in Milan, as well as two tough away clashes against Sampdoria in Genoa and Fiorentina in Florence in the Coppa Italia.

For Conte, winning tomorrow’s match against the newly promoted side would be his eighth consecutive win, better than both Luciano Spalletti and Stefano Pioli, who both achieved a maximum win streak of seven.
