Inter are the best possible solution for outgoing Atalanta forward Papu Gomez, as he hopes to stay near his family in Bergamo, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Bergamo based newspaper Il Corriere di Bergamo.

The report details how there has been contact between the two clubs, although the Nerazzurri’s owners the Suning group do not want to offer money currently, needing to sell unwanted players before looking to invest into the squad.

A possible exchange could take place to bring Gomez to Inter, including youngsters like Sebastiano Esposito and Lorenzo Pirola, players appreciated by the Bergamo based club, but also by the Nerazzurri, who think they can soon develop into first team players.

It’s likely that an exchange will be needed to match Atalanta’s request, but for now Inter are still the most likely option. Lazio, Fiorentina and Torino are all also interested, but are not in pole position.
